How to Install a Golf Cart Cover

3. Close the zipper and snap on the back. Adjust the cover on the golf cart as needed, so that all four corners are even.
4. To remove the cover, open the zipper and bottom snap and pull the cover off the cart, taking care not to snag it on sharp corners or objects.

Brush off any debris, twigs, and leaves from the golf cart cover. Then use a soft brush and lukewarm water to wash the cover. You can leave the cover on the golf cart while you clean it. Rinse off the cover and let it dry.

When you remove a golf cart cover or vehicle cover, here is how to fold it:

Method #1

To fold the golf cart cover as you take it off the vehicle, unzip the zipper and fold one side of the cover onto the roof. Move around to the other side of the golf cart and fold that side onto the roof. Starting at the front, fold the cover in increments of about 3 feet until you reach the back of the golf cart. You can also roll the cover instead of folding it. Folding the cover as you take it off the vehicle keeps you from having to drag the cover across the surface.

Method #2

Folding a golf cart cover when it is not on the golf cart is easier to do with two people. With a person at each end of the cover, fold the side walls towards the roof and shake the cover flat. Fold the cover in half lengthwise once or twice. Then have one person fold or roll the cover as they walk towards the other person.

As you remove the golf cart cover, be careful of any sharp points on the golf cart that could puncture the cover fabric. Watch out for mirrors and other accessories that stick out when installing or removing your golf cart cover.

4. Zip the rear access door shut. The rear access zipper allows you to load and unload golf clubs or other equipment while the cover is installed.
5. Tuck the elastic hem down around the bottom of the cart to secure the cover to the cart. The cover should reach past the centerline of the tires.

Removal and Storage Instructions

To remove the golf cart cover, unzip the rear access door, loosen the elastic hem from around the bottom of the cart, and slide the cover off. Allow the cover to dry fully before storing it. Storing a wet cover for long periods of time can promote the growth of mildew.
