ATV Cover: Getting the Right Fit
The better your ATV cover fits, the better it will protect your quad from mud, dirt, rain, and sun damage. Here are some tips to find the right ATV cover for your quad.
What size ATV cover do you need?
Measure the length of your ATV before ordering a cover. Make sure the cover is long enough to fit over the front and rear bumpers. Take into account any accessories that may not fit under the ATV cover, such as a snorkel, windshield, or other aftermarket add-ons.
The cover should be snug but not too tight. You should be able to install the cover without over-stretching or tearing.
Will you be using your ATV cover for trailering?
If you plan to use your ATV cover for hauling your quad on an open trailer, you’ll need a trailerable ATV cover. The fit should be snug, and the cover should have plenty of straps to prevent the fabric from lofting and whipping in the wind.
For storage only, you won’t need the extra straps, but the fit should still be snug enough to prevent wind lofting and keep the cover in place. If you live in an area with strong winds, you may want to use bungee cords to secure the ATV cover in place.
