Protecting your ATV with a storage cover is a small step, but it goes a long way in protecting your ATV from rain, snow, dirt, dust, and sun damage. Follow these instructions to properly install your ATV cover from DuraShield or other manufacturers. These instructions also apply to most UTV covers.

a
Installation
  1. Remove the cover from the storage bag and unfold the cover.
  2. Find the label sewn into the hem of the cover that indicates “FRONT.” Drape the front of the cover over the front of the ATV, carefully pulling it over the handlebars, mirrors, racks, and other front components. The cover is designed to reach over most front and rear rack combinations.
  3. Continue installing the cover as you work your way towards the rear of the ATV. Be careful not to snag the cover on the rear rack, foot pegs, muffler ends, and other sharp points.
  4. Pull the elastic hem down tightly around the wheels. It should reach down far enough to cover most of the wheels.
Cleaning

With very little maintenance, your ATV cover should last for years of use. To make sure your cover lasts as long as possible, you should clean it regularly. Brush away dirt and grime with a soft terry cloth. Then wash the cover with warm water and a sponge. Do not use harsh detergents to clean the cover, as this may damage the protective coatings. Use mild soap and water to clean stains that will not wash away with water alone. Allow the cover to air dry thoroughly before folding it for storage.
